The Stone Manor Studios in Newboro
This summer, when our family was enjoying a cottage in the Westport area, I took the opportunity to slip away and visit Kim Lulashnyk in Newboro. I packed my painting equipment, knowing that Kim lives in a wonderful 1860’s stone home and beautiful property. While I was there I painted an 11x14 canvas of the front entrance to her home.
Some of my artist friends know Kim as well because Kim is the owner and creative director of Stone Manor Studios offering instruction in different forms of art, from a studio that is part of the home setting. I also recognize a number of fine artist instructors that Kim mentioned, who were instructing there this summer.
I can’t think of a nicer place to take lessons in that beautiful studio. I drove back to the cottage, remembering the places where I took lessons and the enjoyment and thrill I got from experiencing and learning.
